After our late night at the Cubs-Cardinals game on Friday night, we got up late Saturday and enjoyed lunch at Applebee's with Thomas Jackson, minister of the Ferguson Heights church, and his family, including his wife Karla, son Dillon and daughter Kayla. They are a wonderful family, and we enjoyed spending time with them. We saw "Wall-E" last night. I much admit that it didn't do much for me. The kids liked it, though.
This morning, we worshiped at the Florissant church and worked on a future story.
And this afternoon, we drove 260-plus miles to Mitchell, Ind., to work on another future story. We ran into a construction roadblock on a state highway and ended up lost in the middle of nowhere, but we eventually found out way! We're staying at the Spring Mill Inn at a gorgeous state park. Thank you so much, Gary Spear, for arranging this!
